We plug in
You keep your systems.
Smarkia runs on top of the DAS, BMS, and SCADA you already own. We read your meters and controls over the protocols they already speak, BACnet, KNX, Modbus, and OPC, across electricity, gas, water, and solar. No rip and replace, no proprietary boxes, no forklift project.
Open protocols and standards
Twenty-plus protocols translated natively, from field-level buses to metering and IoT standards. Adding the next one is routine work for us, not a project.
BACnet
Modbus
OPC UA
ANSI C12
MQTT

The systems you already run
Sit on top, not in place of.
Your DAS, BMS, and SCADA from the major vendors, read in place. Manufacturer gateways and portals unified into one feed. Nothing gets replaced.
External signals
Weather and energy-market data pulled in and normalized alongside your own meters, so every number is comparable and every alert has context.
When there is no protocol
Some systems do not expose a field protocol at all. We still connect them at the data layer, over a REST API, a direct database read, or a scheduled file drop.
What systems and protocols does Smarkia connect to?
Smarkia runs on top of the DAS, BMS, and SCADA you already own and reads your meters and controls over the protocols they already speak, including BACnet, KNX, M-Bus, and Modbus. There is no need to standardize hardware first.
Do we need to install new hardware to connect Smarkia?
No. Smarkia connects over your existing network and protocols, so there is no rip-and-replace and no new gateways to roll out across every site. It reads what is already there and starts working.
Will connecting Smarkia disrupt systems that already work?
No. Smarkia layers on top of equipment that already runs, reading signals and sending setpoints without re-onboarding a site that worked fine last week. Integration stays an add-on, not a capital project.
How long does integration with Smarkia take?
Because Smarkia speaks the protocols your systems already use, connection is measured in days to weeks rather than months. Most sites go live without the downtime a hardware swap would require.
Can Smarkia connect many sites with different equipment?
Yes. Smarkia normalizes data from mixed vendors and protocols into one platform, so a portfolio of sites running different BMS, meters, and controls all appear in a single, consistent view.
What about sites that only have meters and no BMS?
Smarkia still works. It can read metering data on its own and layer optimization wherever controls exist, so partially instrumented sites get value without waiting for a full controls upgrade.
Is the data moving between our systems and Smarkia secure?
Yes. Every signal Smarkia reads or sends is encrypted end to end, and the operational data stays owned by you. Connectivity never means giving up control of your systems or your data.
