A leading Spanish food manufacturer, specialized in biscuit production, has worked with Smarkia since 2020 to advance its digital transformation and improve day-to-day operations.
Since then, the plant — with a 50,000 m² footprint — has deployed a real-time monitoring system that captures more than 5,700 signals across electricity, gas, compressed air and production processes. This gives a complete, up-to-date view of energy use, enabling tighter control of the factory's activity and continuous efficiency gains.
The challenge
Despite its prior investment in efficiency, the client faced a lack of precise visibility into energy use, the need to spot anomalies early, and the search for a platform that would normalize the data and deliver automatic alerts.
